Moving to Colorado from Texas?

We are condsidering moving from Fort Worth, Texas to the Colorado Springs area. Is there anybody out there that has made this move? Our question is have you noticed a big difference in the cost of living? Is it quite a big diffrence in your mortgage/rent, when you go to dinner, movies, etc. We have just started researching this move, and thought asking people in that situation might help. Thank you.

  1. I have not made the move you are describing, but I live in Dallas and my brother lives in Denver. I went out to visit my brother a few months ago and observed the following: Eating out was about the same price. Housing was more expensive (Starter home in TX for anywhere from 110-120, in the Denver area for about 120-140). Target in Denver was about $1 - $1.5 more expensive on most items. Hope this helps.
